Backstage at the 3.1 Phillip Lim show, lead makeup artist Francelle Daly's focus is on the lips for Fall 2013.

A flawless complexion paired with nutmeg colored lips, think uptown girl but with a cool edge.

"We achieved a sophisticated makeup look this season with really supple skin and a brown toned lip. These girls are cool - uptown girls with downtown boyfriends."

The brown-toned lips reminds me of my own teen years in the 90's, pale skin paired with Revlon's Toast of New York. Is it possible that the 90's are coming back?
