Barbie, Happy 50th Birthday!

Dear Barbie,

Happy Birthday Darling!!

Hope you have a great day & sorry I couldn't make it to the party. Wow! 50 years old & you don't look a day over 18, yeah must be all the botox & surgeries perhaps the same one Madonna goes to, well you both are 50 now maybe you can even party together...how fun. Although we haven't seen eachother in years, ever since I send you away to rehab at Caboodles Club (aka my old dirty Caboodle's makeup case), we do share some good memories! Coming up with different outfits, hairstyles, sorry about the buzz cut but the over processed blonde hair was getting to me, we had many the afternoons playing together. Thankfully I had a healthy childhood whereas I figured out pretty quickly that I never wanted to mimic you. Or follow your strict diet plans, but most importantly never listened to your beauty advice on makeup. By the way you wear far too much mascara and can't stand that cotton-pink lipstick! Oh and tell Malibu Barbie that she needs to ease up on the fake-n-bake tan, leathery skin is not flattering. Other than that glad our friendship has endured so many years:) Again Happy Birthday Honey!

Just having a bit of fun with all of you! Who hasn't owned a Barbie? She's lasted all these years & continues to be one of the top toy dolls sold today not only for children but adults collect them too! Ok so there is the argument that her body image has created body image issues for girls but in all fairness I'm more concerned with the image of Bratz dolls. Did you also hear that Dora is getting a "tween" makeover? Yup, that's right.
